WHY CHOOSE CHS PHARMACY?
1. The Medical Records Department has the ability to provide you with Medical Administration Records (MARS) that reflect the medication side effects, Diabetic Sheets, Activities of Daily Living, Bowel and Bladder Monitors, Meal Monitors, Restraint Reports, Diagnosis Reports, Diet and Lab Reports, and they can start any time during the month they do not have to start on the first and can reflect a thirty or thirty one day month. We will also provide MARS for non-participating residents for a minimal fee of five dollars.
2. CHS is a 24 hour pharmacy seven days a week. There is always someone to take your call and answer your questions.
3. Pre-drawn insulin syringes and sharps container disposal.
4. We provide Durable Medical Supply and Equipment and have a consultant available to provide you with the support information and assessment services. We will also assist with obtaining the appropriate prescription or documentation in order to bill the customer's insurance.
5. The Billing Department can tell you whether an item is a covered benefit, taking the guess work out of what the customer will have to pay out of pocket. In the event an item is not covered someone from the Billing Department will call the customer or facility in advance allowing the customer or facility to decline or pay out of pocket. The Billing Department also obtains all prior authorization information, allowing your staff to attend to the patient care rather then on the phone waiting for physician assistance.
6. Patients are provided a three (3) day supply of medication or supply while waiting for prior authorization. CHS Pharmacy facilitates the authorization process. The patient never goes without needed medication or supply.
7. We also provide price matching or a senior discount for those individuals without prescription coverage. Assistance with signing up for Medicare Part D programs.
8. We can repack bulk medications provided by the VA or another entity.
9. CHS Return Policy: Credit for returns can be done on private pay and discount pharmacy card accounts. Returns involving insurance claims can only be reversed for a full card return in the event that a medication change has been made by the prescribing physician.
10. Independent residents can take advantage of our Mail Order Pharmacy.
11. The services, features and benefits to your facility from CHS Pharmacy are designed with the following objectives:
Maximization of Patients Clinical Outcome
At a time when Long Term Care facilities are facing mounting pressures from government payment programs, manage care negotiations, and increased regulatory scrutiny, your facility needs the flexibility of services and options to meet all of your needs.
